The Alcoa Millionaires overcame a good performance by Aurora pinch hitter Guy van Steenbergen to knock off Aurora, 7-5, at Suns Field. van Steenbergen was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Alcoa reliever Rafael Martinez picked up the win, while Jake Plott took the loss for Aurora. Picking up his 5th save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Rodrigo Rodriguez.

Alcoa used a clutch at-bat from Tim Santana to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Millionaires ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Santana told the Alcoa Chronicle. "You win just by scoring more runs."

Aurora's current losing streak is now 4 games.
