Indianapolis Slaps 4-2 Loss on Boston
|
The Indianapolis Eagles and Boston Whistlers completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Indianapolis Eagles locked up a win at Whislters Park, knocking off the Boston Whistlers, 4-2. On the mound for Indianapolis was right-hander Ray Dappen. He played a major role in the triumph. Dappen got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Kyle Schroeder collected his 1st save.
T.J. Walker had a direct impact on the outcome. Walker contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Indianapolis up, 1-0.
"Ray is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay.
The Eagles, now 3-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.
