Running Rebels Rally to Win
|
The Fresno Running Rebels beat the Alcoa Millionaires, 6-5, in 10 innings, in part because of first baseman Juan Gonsalez. He went 2-2 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The last-place Running Rebels are 43-79.
Fresno needed the clutch hitting of Dionigi Castellani to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Running Rebels on top, 6-5. For the game, Castellani had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Gonsalez told the Fresno Daily News.
