Millionaires Pick Up 5-1 Win Against Aurora
|
The Alcoa Millionaires defeated the Aurora Suns by the score of 5-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman John Wilson. Wilson was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles for the Millionaires on the day. The third-place Millionaires now have a record of 46-51.
Dillon Reed was 1-3 for Alcoa. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Reed, who is tied for 5th in the E-AA in total bases with 160, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Aurora hurler Eric Fiedler, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Millionaires a 2-1 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Reed said after the game.
