11-2 Loss to Millionaires Extends Traverse City Losing Streak
The Alcoa Millionaires handed the Traverse City Bears a sound defeat, 11-2, at Alcoa Grounds. Alex Torres was a main contributor to the win. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Alcoa. Danny Williams snagged the win in relief. He goes to 7-1 on the season. Bernado Marcelo suffered the loss. A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Millionaires sent 20-year-old catcher Richard Adelman to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a 2-run single, to put Alcoa on top, 5-2.
