Libertyville catcher Matt Bellavance helped his team beat the Mesa Razor Sharks, 5-3. Bellavance, who is tied for 4th in the E-AA in home runs with 14, went 4 for 4 for the Polecats. Gabe Thomas notched his 1st save in 2 chances.

Bellavance had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch changeup from Bobby Villasenor, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Polecats a 4-3 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Bellavance.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Bellavance.

Today's win puts Libertyville at 23-40, while Mesa falls to 30-33.
