Mesa took on Alcoa in front of a lively crowd.

The Mesa Razor Sharks buried the Alcoa Millionaires, 12-2, under a barrage of hits. Cory Jaeger led the onslaught, going 2-for-3 for Mesa. Nick Randall earned the save for Mesa, his 1st.

Mesa used a clutch at-bat from Mike Sardeson to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Razor Sharks ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"They beat us, they beat us soundly," said losing manager .

Mesa is now 37-24. Alcoa is 28-33.
