Taniguchi Swings Mermen to 8-5 Win
|
The Corpus Christi Mermen got a rain-soaked win over the Washington Wildthings.
The Corpus Christi Mermen downed the Washington Wildthings, 8-5. The hitting star was first baseman Noritoshi Taniguchi. Taniguchi hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Mermen. Kevin McGaha, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Josh Maughan was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.
