Millionaires Squelch Wildthings Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Alcoa Millionaires picked up a win at Red Barons Ballpark, taking down the Washington Wildthings, 4-0. Starting pitcher Chris Wyzard was a big reason why. John Holcombe earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game. The second-place Millionaires now sit at 24-28.
Alcoa used a clutch at-bat from Justin Kreger to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Millionaires ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We have a lot of confidence in Chris," said Alcoa manager .
