The Mobile Yard Dogs converted a terrific effort from starter Jeremy Sharpe into a win over the Boise Dread Kings at Ballpark of Boise. The Yard Dogs won the game by a final score of 7-2. Sharpe, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The third-place Dread Kings dropped to 29-20.

Mobile used the clutch hitting of Bill Lobsinger to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Yard Dogs the lead, 3-0. For the game, Lobsinger had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Mobile manager Gil Gomez.
