The Washington Wildthings and Libertyville Polecats played an entertaining game for Red Barons Ballpark patrons.

It took 10 innings, but the Washington Wildthings were able to beat the Libertyville Polecats, 5-4, at Red Barons Ballpark. Philip Kerrigan provided some offensive muscle for Washington. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Despite the win, the Wildthings have a lousy 9-35 record.

In the bottom of the tenth, with the score tied, Kerrigan hammered a solo home run to win it for Washington.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Kerrigan.
