Scorpions Upend Gangsters, 4-2
|
Led by Billy Totten, the Syracuse Scorpions defeated the Chicago Gangsters, 4-2. Totten went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Scorpions. Ken Allbaugh collected save number 8. The loss drops Chicago to 7-16.
Syracuse grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Totten hit a 3-run home run off Josh Wilkes. His 5th home run of the season put the Scorpions out in front, 3-0.
"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Totten.
