The Alcoa Millionaires downed the Traverse City Bears, 9-2, at Alcoa Grounds. Brad Twomey led the way, going 3-for-4 for Alcoa. Nick Grzeskowiak snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Willie Morales suffered the loss. Rodrigo Rodriguez earned the save for Alcoa, his 1st.

Had John Clemens not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Clemens hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Millionaires.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Ray Johnson.

At 16-23, Alcoa is in 4th place in the Eastern AA Northern Division.
