The losses keep piling up for the Washington Wildthings.

Washington catcher Mike Chamberlin had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Chamberlin was 2-3 with a triple and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Traverse City beat the Wildthings, 11-7. Traverse City pitcher Pat Potter got the win. He's now 2-3. Nate Roberson was tagged with the loss.

Matt Lawson went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk for Traverse City. The 30-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Josh Pegan. It was his 8th walk of the season.

"Winning a ballgame these days," losing manager Danny Sanchez told reporters, "is harder than big game hunting without a gun."

Today's win puts Traverse City at 6-27, while Washington falls to 2-31.
