Aces Take Down Bobcats, 3-2
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 22-year old right fielder Clark Ulery, the Quebec Aces defeated the Walnut Park Bobcats, 3-2. Quebec reliever Travis Espinoza picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Bill Samples was tagged with the loss. The Aces go to 22-26, putting them 4th in the Stripes Conference East Division.
Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 29-year old right fielder Rich Cloutier had a real shot to win the game. Walnut Park pitcher Bill Samples was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Cloutier hit a run-scoring single. The Aces had a walk-off triumph.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Walnut Park manager Perry Glickman.
