The Palm Springs Heat picked up a win at Selects Ballpark, downing the Spokane Selects, 4-2. On the mound for Palm Springs was right-hander Carlos Carachure, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 7.2 innings, Carachure surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Ross Lefkowitz was credited with the save for Palm Springs, his 9th of the season.
