Purple Wave Earn Win with Late Rally
Nick Drake was a major contributor to the 5-4 New Rochelle win over Spokane. The Purple Wave shortstop was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Terrence Hamilton in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Mike Strasser took the loss. New Rochelle is now 20-26, Spokane 24-22.

New Rochelle used the timely hitting of Noel Cusack to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Purple Wave on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," New Rochelle manager William Gregg said afterward.
