The Westwood Bruins topped the Tucson Raccoons, 12-3, the lion's share of the credit going to designated hitter Paul McComas. On the day, McComas went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Bruins. The win for the Bruins lifted their record to 27-19.

In the top of the third, Tony Thomas delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Westwood left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Bruins in front, 12-3.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Westwood manager Hasan Raif.
