Selects Win at New Rochelle, 7-3
|
New Rochelle left fielder Danny Haessly had a good game, even if his team did not. The Purple Wave dropped a 7-3 decision to Spokane at Ballpark of Lexington. Haessly belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Selects go to 28-16, putting them second in the Stripes Conference West Division.
The Selects got an important contribution from first baseman Ryan Anderson, who in the top of the first hit a fastball to left for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Selects ahead, 3-0.
Anderson said his team "played with focus."
