The New Rochelle Purple Wave racked up a win at Ballpark of Lexington, bumping off the Spokane Selects, 4-2. Pat Daughtry, who started for New Rochelle, pitched effectively for his team. Mike Wroten sewed up the save, his 11th. The Purple Wave sit in 4th place in the Stripes Conference East Division with a record of 21-22.

Mike Reese, who is rated as the 87th best prospect by BNN, came through for New Rochelle with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.
