The Quebec Fighting Quakers took on the Fremont Marshalls at Hedgehogs Ballpark.

Thanks in large part to left fielder Akihide Sera, the Quebec Fighting Quakers beat the Fremont Marshalls, 9-1. Sera went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Quebec starter Angel Morales was credited with the win after throwing 98 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-4.

With Quebec leading 1-0 in the top of the sixth, Sera hit a fastball from Kurt Neal for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Fighting Quakers ahead, 3-0.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Elias Nunez.

The Marshalls have now dropped 7 straight.
