Pilots Earn 3-2 Win Versus Z's
|
The Denver Pilots had to overcome a fine performance from Ann Arbor pitcher Ben Butman to grab a 3-2 win at Knights Ballpark. Butman allowed 1 run over 5 innings. The Z's, now 19-25, have lost 4 in a row.
Denver used the timely hitting of Dave Yeater to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pilots ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Ann Arbor manager Brock Fullington. "The effort was great."
