Pilots Win, 4-2, Versus Quebec
|
The Denver Pilots and Quebec Aces played an exciting game.
Quebec got a terrific performance from pitcher Nate Briceno, but it wasn't enough to beat the Denver Pilots. Denver won the Pilots Ballpark contest, 4-2. Briceno threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Jarred Gangi, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2023 draft, nailed down the save.
Denver took the lead, 4-2, on Jim Green's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Quebec pitcher Pete Duncan in the bottom of the eighth.
"I really like what we did out there today," Green said after the game.
The Pilots saw their win-loss record go to 23-22. At the same time, the Aces fell to 27-18.
