The Quebec Aces did just enough to sneak past the Ann Arbor Z's, 4-3, at Belmont Park. Quebec pitcher Colin Lambert, in particular, had a standout performance. Joey Dykema picked up the win in relief. Bobby Purdy took the loss for Ann Arbor. The third-place Aces are now 19-23, the Z's 18-24.
Making an impact for the home team was Ricardo de Leon. In the bottom of the sixth, the 25-year old catcher had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 4-2, Aces.
"Colin is good at sticking to his strengths," said Quebec manager Arturo Rivera.
