Late Rally by Prairie Thunder Secures 7-3 Win
|
The Randolph Prairie Thunder used the hitting of right fielder Kyle Wright to subdue the Fremont Marshalls, 7-3. For the game, Wright belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Brad Goodman got the win, improving to 4-2. He worked 8 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The first-place Prairie Thunder now sit at 24-16.
Randolph took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Luis Perales hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Prairie Thunder in front, 5-3.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Perales said.
