Aces Get 9-6 Win Versus Walnut Park
The Quebec Aces withstood a fine game by Walnut Park shortstop Edward Salgado at Belmont Park, to upend the Bobcats, 9-6. Salgado went 4 for 5 with 2 triples and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Quebec reliever Mike Arnerich was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-4. Steve McCutcheon took the loss for Walnut Park. Quebec is third in the Stripes Conference East Division with a record of 25-16.

Cesar Pereira had a big 2-run home run for the Aces in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Quebec leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Steve McCutcheon and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Aces on top, 4-1.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Pereira.
