The 9-3 Denver win over New Rochelle was due in large part to Bill Brown. The Pilots third baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Getting the save was Carlos Martinez, his 1st. The Pilots improved their record to 20-21 by beating New Rochelle.

The Pilots got an important contribution from shortstop Aaron Lowe, who in the bottom of the third hit a 1-2 knuckle curve to right-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 4-3.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Lowe said. "We did a good job of that today."
