Palm Springs Heat starter Mike Parker found his groove in his team's 5-3 win over the Quebec Aces. Pat Eisen collected his 8th save. Palm Springs's record now stands at 25-16, placing them first in the Stripes Conference West Division.

The Aces had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Heat going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old left fielder Jacob Tubman came to the plate. Tubman hit a run-scoring triple on a first pitch splitter from Quebec hurler Justin Hesley. It was Tubman's 2nd triple of the year.

Palm Springs manager Rogelio Sanchez commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
