The Quebec Fighting Quakers and starting pitcher Marty Matthews stifled the Dillonvale offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at Black Diamonds Ballpark. The first-place Fighting Quakers go to 28-14.

Quebec used the bat of Sam Neeley to get the win. The catcher hit a cutter from Jose Suazo out of the park for a grand slam home run. The blast came in the top of the fifth inning and put the Fighting Quakers on top, 6-1. It was Neeley's lone hit, but it left a mark.

Neeley called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
