Quebec Earns 2-1 Win
|
The Dillonvale Indians got a superb performance from pitcher Dan Telford. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Quebec. The Fighting Quakers won the game, 2-1. Telford threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The win for the Fighting Quakers lifted their record to 27-14.
Quebec needed the clutch hitting of Sam Neeley to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fighting Quakers on top, 2-1. For the game, Neeley had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Dillonvale manager Markus Mensink.
