The Spokane Selects cut down the Westwood Bruins by the score of 7-5, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Troy Hermann. Hermann went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs for the Selects. Morgan Jenkins, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held Westwood to 4 runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Ken Guzman closed it out for Spokane, earning his 1st save.

Spokane took a 6-4 lead on Marc McCain's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which McCain hit in the top of the seventh, left Westwood pitcher Mike Weatherby visibly frustrated.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Hermann, "one at-bat at a time."

The third-place Selects are now 22-19, the Bruins 25-16.
