Oaks Deal New Rochelle 7-4 Defeat
The Orono Oaks topped the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 7-4, in Stripes Conference action at Ballpark of Lexington. The standout performance belonged to Orono pitcher and Winterset, Iowa, native Mickey Green. Tim Suttle locked down his 15th save. By defeating New Rochelle, the first-place Oaks improved to 27-12.

With one out in the top of the seventh, John Cotton had a game-changing hit. The Oaks first baseman slammed a 2-run single off Sean Harris, making the score 5-2, Orono.

"I still think this team can play even better," Green told the Orono Herald.
