Westwood turned a good effort from starter Mike Bryan into a win over the Dillonvale Indians at Black Diamonds Ballpark. The Bruins won the game, 2-1. Jonathan Marich recorded his 9th save for Westwood. The second-place Bruins sport a record of 20-17.
Westwood used a well-timed hit by A.J. Cook to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bruins ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
"For the most part, I felt like I did a pretty good job with executing the pitches I was throwing," said Bryan.
