Randolph Beats Quebec in 10-Inning Thriller
The Randolph Prairie Thunder defeated the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 10-8, in 10 innings. Much of the credit belonged to catcher Sergio Portillo, who was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Prairie Thunder. Brad Antol, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. With the win, Randolph raised its record to 23-16.

Randolph used the clutch hitting of Matt Doughty to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Prairie Thunder the lead, 10-8. For the game, Doughty had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We just battled, never quit, and continued to grind out at-bats trying to create some opportunities," said Randolph manager Michael Kelleher.
