Matt DeLaet was a major contributor to the 7-6 Denver win over Quebec. The Pilots first baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The winner was Juan Santana in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Colin Esser took the loss. The Pilots are now 17-22, while the Aces fall to 18-21.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Jesse Pratt in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Colin Esser to win it for Denver and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Quebec manager Arturo Rivera.
