The Ann Arbor Z's defeated the Dillonvale Indians, 8-4. Doing his part was catcher Frank Radtke, who was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. The win has Ann Arbor at 16-23.
Tim Baggett had a big bases-clearing triple for the Z's in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Ann Arbor leading 5-4 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Roderick and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Z's ahead, 8-4.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Radtke told the Ann Arbor Herald. "It's as simple as that."
