The Pilots grabbed a win, 5-3, at Pilots Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Quebec pitcher Ken Springer. Springer went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Juan Santana recorded the save for Denver, his 9th of the season. The Pilots sport a record of 13-26.

Denver took a 4-3 lead on John Anderson's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Anderson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Quebec pitcher J.D. Pirillo visibly frustrated.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Anderson told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
