Quebec Gets 5-4 Win
|
Despite a great performance by Denver first baseman Gabriel Crear, the Quebec Aces defeated the Pilots by the score of 5-4 at Pilots Ballpark. Crear was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The win belonged to Jody Fouse in relief. His record improves to 1-1. David Fry took the loss for Denver. Jonathan Harvey picked up the save, his 1st.
Quebec used the timely hitting of Juan Posadas to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aces on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Denver manager Byung-sik Lee said, following the tough loss.
The last-place Pilots have lost 4 consecutive games.
