Walnut Park Nets 3-2 Win Versus Bruins
The Walnut Park Bobcats eked out a 3-2 win versus the Westwood Bruins at Ballpark of Walnut Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Ryan Johnson. He was terrific. Kasey Acree, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The first-place Bobcats now have a win-loss record of 21-13.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 2-2, former first round draft pick Alex Ochoa won it for Walnut Park. With a runner on 2nd, Ochoa hit a first pitch sinker from Jonathan Marich for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Johnson. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
