Purple Wave Rally to Nose Past Spokane
The New Rochelle Purple Wave topped the Spokane Selects, 5-4, with designated hitter Dennis Quesada playing a big role. Quesada was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Purple Wave in the win. New Rochelle pitcher Cory Cirello got the win. He's now 1-0. Cory Gregerson was tagged with the loss. New Rochelle is third in the Stripes Conference East Division with a record of 16-17.

Quesada had a timely hit for New Rochelle in the bottom of the eighth. With New Rochelle trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 5-3, New Rochelle.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Quesada told the New Rochelle Times.
