Bobcats Pocket 8-1 Win Against Dillonvale
|
Walnut Park Bobcats pitcher Beau Larson whisked his team past the Dillonvale Indians, 8-1. Larson, now 5-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The last-place Indians have lost 5 straight games.
The Bobcats got a big hit from catcher Evan McCulley. Facing Dillonvale pitcher Jim Unknown in the top of the ninth, McCulley pounded a bases-clearing double to left-center. His 6th double of the season put the Bobcats ahead, 8-1.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Dillonvale manager Armando Cisneros.
