The New Rochelle Purple Wave downed the Hickory Crawdads, 8-7. The hitting star was center fielder Dennis Quesada. Quesada went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Purple Wave. The loss makes Hickory 16-12.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when New Rochelle first baseman Aaron Coulson, facing Brian Aldridge, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Purple Wave the 8-7 win.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Purple Wave manager Brent Boudreau. "This one was nice to get."
