Prairie Thunder Edge Walnut Park in Pitching Duel
The Randolph Prairie Thunder used a great performance from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Ricardo Rincon to beat the Walnut Park Bobcats, 1-0, at Prairie Thunder Ballpark. Rincon, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Chris Earley closed it out for Randolph, earning his 6th save.

The Prairie Thunder got an important contribution from second baseman Lee MacDonald, who in the bottom of the third hit a 0-1 sinker to left for a solo home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Prairie Thunder ahead, 1-0.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Walnut Park manager Hua Pian. "The effort was great."

The win gives Randolph a record of 14-13.
