The Orono Oaks took Ann Arbor pitcher Pat Potter's best shot and still were able to claim a win at University of Maine Stadium. The final score had Orono getting past the Z's, 3-2. Potter went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 4. The loss puts Ann Arbor at 10-15.

Jay McBurney was the walk-off hero for Orono. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Oaks center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Orono manager Mike Barriga.
