Quebec Fighting Quakers starter Chris Stoddard was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Hickory Crawdads, 3-2. Stoddard, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk.

Quebec used the timely hitting of Matt Lee to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fighting Quakers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Lee said his team "played with determination."
