Right-hander Jonathan Brey mesmerized the Ann Arbor Z's while leading the Hickory Crawdads to a 4-0 victory. Brey, now 3-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Carlos Pardo earned save number 2 this season.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Crawdad Park seemed to enjoy watching the Stripes Conference action.

"I thought we played a nice game," Brey told the Hickory Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The win has Hickory at 20-4.
