Heat Collect 6-4 Win Over Pilots
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Pilots Ballpark.

Eric Milbrandt led the charge as the Palm Springs Heat defeated the Denver Pilots, 6-4, in 13 innings at Pilots Ballpark. Milbrandt was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. Isiah Hamlin picked up his 3rd save of the season.

Palm Springs used the timely hitting of Jacob Tubman to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Heat on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Heat manager Rogelio Sanchez.

The Heat, now 16-6, have been red hot.
