Dillonvale beat Denver at Black Diamonds Ballpark, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Keith Cole. He was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Dillonvale reliever Stephen Keene picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Santana absorbed the loss. The Pilots, at 6-14, have stumbled out of the gate.

Dillonvale got a critical at-bat from Billy Manuele. The third baseman stroked a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Cole said.
