The Westwood Bruins cut down the Ann Arbor Z's by the score of 7-5 in 13 innings. Much of the credit went to second baseman Alec Pavelka. Pavelka slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Bruins. The Z's, now 7-12, continue their poor start.

Westwood needed the clutch hitting of Paul Tetzloff to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Bruins on top, 7-5. For the game, Tetzloff had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Every game matters," said Westwood manager Hasan Raif. "I'm really amplifying that message."
