McCarthy Delivers Walk-Off Win for Z's
The Ann Arbor Z's downed the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 6-5, at Knights Ballpark. The Z's were led by Matt Shrum. Shrum was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Ted Tygart was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Sean Rowe. The Z's, with only their 4th win in 19 games, have not had much to write home about in 2022.

Jonathan McCarthy was the walk-off hero for Ann Arbor. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Z's center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," said McCarthy.
