In a low-scoring contest, Westwood pitcher John Blackman was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 1-0 win in 12 innings. The loss drops Orono to 10-6.

Jay Thibodeaux played the role of hero for Westwood. In the bottom of the 12th, he launched a solo home run off Matt Williams to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Blackman.
