Bobcats 6-5 Winners Versus Denver
|
In a tight contest at Pilots Ballpark, the Walnut Park Bobcats edged the Denver Pilots by the score of 6-5. Walnut Park right fielder Ron Cardwell, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Mike Garst earned save number 3 this season. The Pilots fall to 7-10 and continue their lackluster start to the 2026 season.
Walnut Park used the timely hitting of Chris Stivers to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bobcats on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Stivers, "one at-bat at a time."
