Denver second baseman Robby Finkler contributed significantly to his team's 5-3 win over the Walnut Park Bobcats. Finkler, who is tied for 6th in the StC in runs scored with 11, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Pilots. Walnut Park is 8-8 after the loss.
The Pilots got an important contribution from designated hitter Luke Doll, who in the top of the fourth knocked a 0-1 fastball to right-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 5-2.
"We did enough to win," said Finkler.
