Blake Banks was nothing short of phenomenal for the New Rochelle Purple Wave. The 22-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Denver Pilots, 6-0. The loss drops Denver to 6-11.

In the bottom of the second, New Rochelle first baseman Aaron Coulson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Coulson stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 4-0, New Rochelle. For the game, he went 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Banks told the New Rochelle Today. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
