Spokane parlayed a decent outing from starter Jose Rivera into a solid win over the Westwood Bruins. The final score was 6-3. Justin Brownlee notched his 2nd save of the season. The Bruins fall to 7-10 and continue their sputtering start to the 2023 season.

Nick Raiff had a big run-scoring double for the Selects in the bottom of the third inning. With Spokane leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a curveball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Ryan Simpson and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Selects ahead, 4-2.

"Jose gave us a heck of an effort," said Spokane manager Chris McLure.
